DESCRIPTION:
APW - E Howard & Co, Boston, Series II, N-S (just over 19S), 18K Fellows & Co HC recase with gold cuvette, KWKS, WE-SSD, lever escapement, 15J, gilt mvt, s#1809. Gross weight of assembled watch 88.8 dwt (138.0 g). Total production of the Series II was approximately 1200 made, this example is among the very earliest of these and has the scarce smaller style barrel bridge used only among the first 150 to 200 examples.
CONDITION:
Mvt: GRO, fine mvt condition overall, gilt plates with MFS and a somewhat yellowed tone; perfect dial; excellent hands; case with light wear, typical MFS, two dings to front, reduced ET detail; tight bow, push shows little wear; good glass crystal.
